In General

Amrtabindu Upanishad is a minor Upanishad assigned to Rig_Veda. The Upanishad starts with psychological aspect of sadaka. Manas (mind) is said to be of two kinds, pure and the impure. That which is associated with thought of desire is impure, while that which is without desire is the pure. To men, mind alone is cause of bondage or emancipation. So, taming the mind is central to the practice of spirituality. Similarly there are two types of Vidya to be learned Sabdabrahman and Parabrahman. One who has completely mastered sabdabrahman can attain parabrahman. Having studied well the books, the learned man should acquire jnana and vijnana. Then he should discard the whole of the books, as a man in quest of grain give up the straw. Though cows are of different colour, yet their milk are of same colour. Jnana is like milk which is same in different forms found in universe. Vijnana is like ghee which is latent in every part of milk. The process of seeking vijnana is like churning of milk; use of manas as churning stick and jnana as string, the parabrahman, that is indivisible, calm and quiescent can be brought out just like butter. I am the Brahman. That, Vasudeva who is support of all being, who lives in all and who protects all creatures, is myself. That Vasudeva is mySelf.
